Moving to LEDs, new lighting for museums, with technical and financial implications. Three points of view to understand them and move forward

Beyond the Colour Rendering Index (CRI)
Sébastien Flet Reitz, Technical Director of the Syndicat de l’Eclairage (French Lighting Industry Association), will begin this seminar by explaining why the CRI is no longer the only parameter to be considered: a chart of the “20 LED light performance criteria”, ratified by the association’s manufacturers, lists the key points for any quality project. Thanks to LEDs, curators and exhibition commissioners have the choice: they can easily differentiate spaces, adapt the lighting to the time and the location’s activity, to the visitors. It is up to the client to choose the emotional character.

Light is emotion
Julien Arnal, President of the Syndicat de l’Eclairage (French Lighting Industry Association), will illustrate how light breathes life into spaces and enlivens the visitor’s itinerary, while being of great assistance to all those for whom the museum is their workplace.Every space must be illuminated to leave a strong imprint in the visitor’s memory, and that is what LEDs offer today.

Financial solutions
Consideration of life cycle cost has never been more relevant than with LED lighting. Among the existing financial solutions, Alexandre Pesez of BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions will close this seminar by presenting the tools that his bank makes available to execute projects that are virtually self-financing thanks to energy savings.
