Why do visitor committees seem indispensable today? The example of Universcience
Wednesday 25 March 2026 | 10:30 - Delorme Conference Room
L’Oeil du Public supported the Cité des sciences et de l’industrie in the creation of its first user committee.
As museums increasingly seek to involve their audiences in their strategic thinking, these initiatives are taking on a growing role. Designed as spaces for long-term exchange, they allow projects to be tested against actual usage, visitor experiences, and real needs and expectations.
This workshop will look back at the committee's origins: from its initial setup and the themes explored with its members to its moderation, the insights gained from meetings, and the changes the process has initiated.
