Security is now at the heart of museum strategic planning. How can we continue to make the museum a place of experience, life, and proximity to artworks, while simultaneously securing the collections? Access to storage facilities, “beyond the walls” exhibitions, object loans, or immersive events bring the public closer to the works but pose new challenges.
