WORKSHOP DECALOG with the Musée des Tissus of Lyon

Tuesday 14 September 2021 | 11:30
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 14 - 11:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Conference room

Libraries, Archives, Museums… and much more

Decalog is one of the foremost French publishers, providing high end collections management systems to museums, libraries and archives. Flora has been adopted by large networks, national and local, in France, Belgium and Switzerland, and by smaller institutions who appreciate the ease of use and scalability of the software.

The lockdown period has given museums the opportunity to work on their collections and artwork management systems. During  this conference, Pascale Steimetz-Le Cacheux, in charge of the collections of the Musée des Tissus in Lyon, will give a feedback on the artwork management and the tools used – of which Flora is the reference database. This work was an opportunity to reconsider in depth the organization of the collections management and to adapt the database to the different trades present in the museum and the extensive typology of the collection. Flora helps tracking items and their transport, organize the inventory, and document the physical state of the items. Methods and tools are key to the success of this operation. The conference will be an opportunity to share the feedback from this rich experience.

In the 2021 edition of the SITEM, Decalog will demonstrate its new version that improves on the presentation of the screens, provides an interactive editor for printing and data input. The new Collections v2 web portal gives access to the collections on the Internet through a customizable interface.
