Immersive experiences and frugal innovation x Ministry of Culture
Tuesday 25 March 2025 | 09:30 - Soufflot pitch room

"Immersive experiences and frugal innovation: How the Ministry of Culture is experimenting with a VR offering for museums with a low budget"
Immersive experiences have seen strong growth in recent years, benefiting from the public's undeniable interest in these new digital cultural practices.
While most of these experiments require a substantial budget, the Ministry of Culture wanted to carry out an experiment in a logic of "frugal" innovation: to carry out, with a limited budget, an immersive experience in virtual reality with the aim of promoting the collections of several national museums.
This experience will be broadcast free of charge to priority audiences (school groups, people in medical establishments, EHPADs, etc.) as well as internationally.
This workshop presents feedback from the French museums service and one of the national museums participating in the project.
