How can cultural organisations reach out more effectively to young people, and encourage intergenerational engagement ?

Cultural organisations are imagining new ways of interacting with the younger generation, who often feel disconnected from cultural venues or under-represented in their programming and priorities. This panel will bring together international experts from the Victoria and Albert Museum (London), Musée Carnavalet (Paris), Universcience (Paris) and Museum of Solutions (Mumbai) with Art Explora to reflect on how museums today are re-thinking their approach to reaching children and young people, as well as inter-generational audiences. What is the role of co-design and co-creation in re-visioning the museums of the future? What is “audience-centred” programming? How can we ensure that museums today are relevant to the next generation, while continuing to appeal to their parents and grand-parents?
