COMPANY OVERVIEW
Technoleads (Technoleads Services Inc.) contributes to making culture accessible for blind and visually impaired people in the audiovisual and museum sectors (museums, historical and heritage sites, libraries, archives, etc.) by providing audio description services under the elokutio™ brand. Audio description (AD) involves describing key visual elements of media or museum objects while respecting the original content.
Our writers, along with the arts and culture experts who support them, strive to provide an accurate interpretation of videos and museum objects to create an inclusive and enriching experience for all, in multiple languages. The company leverages technology to support its creative team’s work, combining a tool specifically designed for AD with AI-derived tools.
SCOPE OF OUR SERVICES TO MUSEUMS
We collaborate with museums to make them accessible to people with visual impairments. We also partner with creative studios to co-develop inclusive exhibitions.
Our approach includes consulting, designing, and creating audio-described visits; audio description of artworks, objects, and films, incorporating mediation elements and descriptions of visual components; descriptions of exhibition spaces; and navigation within those spaces. Our services are available in multiple languages (FR, EN, ES, IT, DE, NL) and are offered both on-site and online.
Our methodology, refined through projects with major Canadian museums, relies on the active participation of representatives from the blind and visually impaired community. People with functional, cognitive, or language limitations (literacy, language learning) also benefit from our work. Technoleads thus makes a meaningful contribution to greater inclusion.
