Low Tech & Smart Innovation: Toward Eco-Responsible and Desirable Museography

Workshop presented by MEYVAERT and LES CRAYONS (in the Conference Room) In the face of the climate emergency, all stakeholders—institutions, museums, architects, and manufacturers—are intensifying their commitment to sustainable development. Environmental and social criteria are becoming key in the selection and realization of tomorrow's cultural projects. So how can we accelerate these efforts and strike a balance between innovation, environmental responsibility, and the museum experience? Passive architecture, sustainable museography, and repurposing existing structures are at the heart of this reflection. Drawing on its deep sector knowledge and commitment to sustainability, Meyvaert will present its latest developments in museum display cases and share insights from emerging projects across the globe that embody this environmental focus. The design agency Les Crayons will enrich this session by sharing their experience from the exhibition “Art of Benin Yesterday and Today: From Restitution to Revelation.” Speakers:
  • Albéric Moreels – Commercial Director, MEYVAERT
  • Sophie Odic – Business Development France, MEYVAERT
  • Marion Rivolier – Project Manager, LES CRAYONS
