WORKSHOP DECALOG, with the Imprimerie Nationale

THURSDAY 30TH JANUARY - 17h00 - 17h45 - Workshop room Mutual Management of Libraries, Archives and Museums (BAM): how the Imprimerie Nationale has merged and enriched its collections thanks to Flora. Created in 1640, the Atlier du Livre d'Art et de l'Estampe de l'Imprimerie Nationale (IN Group), has its roots in the history of typographic writing with a collection of 500,000 unique punches in the world, classified as Historic Monuments. The Imprimerie Nationale (IN Group) entrusted Decalog with the implementation of its document platform, based on the Flora software. This new system addresses the challenge of providing a description of books and objects in compatible formats at the crossroads of conservation, libraries and archives professions. The use of the UNIMARC format, in its latest version, has been imposed in order to guarantee the interoperability of the data and the derivation from the general catalog of the BnF. Mr. Pascal Fulacher, Director of the Atelier du Livre d’Art et de l’Estampe and Ms. Fanny Legru, in charge of the management of the collections, will draw an initial assessment of the project and be more specific on the pooling of data libraries, archives and museums (BAM).
