The rediscovered colors of Fleurs et Fruits at the Matisse Museum in Nice: a co-creation in situ around a major work and a dedicated exhibition space

Workshop room   WORKSHOP MEYVAERT/ERCO Since April 2022, the large watercolour cut-out Fleurs et Fruits is once again presented to the public in a new showcase specially designed for this purpose. Result of a dialogue between various experts, this new presentation device allows this exceptional work to regain all its brilliance and monumental character. The Matisse Museum initiated and led - thanks to the support of the Yomiuri Shimbun (Japan, Tokyo) - this vast program of research, restoration and enhancement, alongside the restorers, the Belgian company Meyvaert for the realization of a custom-made showcase and the German company Erco for an evolving lighting system. Together, they explain how this collaborative and global approach led to the creation and realization of a personalized, exclusive and innovative museography, which today repositions this flagship work at the heart of the Museum and the attention of its public.   Speakers :
