Economic development of museums abroad
French museums are well renown outside our borders. For a long time, it has been embodied exclusively in intellectual exchanges, but this situation is evolving.
Most of the museums also accept to become cultural companies, to generate their own resources through their multiple know-how to conquer markets.
The recent report of the Cour des comptes highlights these promising developments and suggests new actions to enhance the value of museum brands. Its author, Hélène Szarzynski, auditor, head of the culture sector, moderator of the conference, will outline the main lines. The RMN represented by Emmanuel Marcovitch and the agence France Museums represented by Hervé Barbaret will present their most recent initiatives as well as some of their projects.
