Protecflam is a company specialized in the protection of artworks and cultural assets. We intervene within the framework of Cultural Property Safeguard Plans. We create custom-made covers made of fiberglass fabric that are equipped with accessories to optimally protect artworks and cultural assets in case of disasters. We ensure the protection of priority artworks that, due to their characteristics (weight/dimensions/hanging), cannot be evacuated.
We manufacture custom protective covers for each artwork based on its dimensions and hanging context. They have been developed in close collaboration with actors from heritage buildings and fire departments. They have undergone rigorous laboratory testing, including the Oddy Test, as well as various scenarios at CSTB evaluating their performance against fire, water, soot, smoke, and temperature variations.
Our systems are therefore particularly tested, and we continuously strive for improvements. They are also protected by a patent currently being finalized. These covers are designed to offer unparalleled protection against fire, smoke, heat, and water, thus ensuring the longevity of artworks.
